El Xiaomi Mi 4i It has arrived to usher in a new era in what corresponds to one of the most relevant companies in the current market, Xiaomi. It is the first international smartphone of the brand, which comes with a quality / price ratio to which we are already accustomed. A great smartphone.
Metal is replaced by plastic
The Xiaomi Mi4 is the flagship of last year's company, and this Xiaomi Mi4 is a new version modified and adapted to the current market. One of the most notable changes we will perceive in the material with which the smartphone case is constructed, which forgets about metal, to become plastic, a clear demonstration that we are talking about a smartphone that has become a range half. Of course, we can also easily perceive that in the price of the smartphone itself.
Thinner and lighter
Another improvement that we find in this Xiaomi Mi 4i compared to its predecessor is that the smartphone is lighter, and thinner. Of course, the use of plastic contributes to this, but in turn also a screen that is now thinner than before and takes up less space and an optimized component design and motherboard, as you can see in the following image .
64-bit processor
One of the novelties is found in the processor, which happens to be a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615, being a step below the high-end processors, but being a great mid-range processor, which is already 64-bit, so it has more of a future, so to speak, than a 800-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 32. It is an octa core, with four cores at a clock frequency of 1,7 GHz, and another four at a frequency of 1,1 GHz, which consume less power.
Expand memory twice
Regarding memory, we should highlight the fact that we are talking about a 2 GB RAM unit, more than enough to offer good fluidity and be able to run as many games as we want without problems. But the really curious thing is the multimedia memory. While the internal memory of the smartphone is 16 GB, we will have the possibility of expanding the memory by means of two additional microSD cards.
A camera that makes you handsome
How many times have we not played that joke that a camera can be good, but not enough to make someone more handsome. Well, in Xiaomi they have wanted to end that in the case of the Xiaomi Mi 4i. We say this because its camera has a mode called Beautify, which is precisely dedicated to that, to make the user who appears in the selfie handsome, as you can see in the following photo.
The main camera has a 13 megapixel sensor and an aperture of f / 2.0. The front camera will have a 5 megapixel sensor, with an aperture of f / 1.8.
A screen to match
And no, we have not forgotten about the screen, we know that it is something very relevant. And Xiaomi has not disappointed with a five-inch screen for its Xiaomi Mi 4i, with a Full HD resolution of 1.920 x 1.080 pixels. The company takes the mid-range up to Full HD. This leaves us with a density of 441 pixels per inch. A very high resolution and image quality for a smartphone whose price will surely surprise you.
MIUI 6 with great battery
To all the technical characteristics we should add the fact that the Xiaomi Mi 4i has the MIUI 6 interface. At first this was very similar to the iOS interface, but the truth is that over time we have been able to see how it continued own way. Now it comes with the possibility of customizing the interface through themes. And all based on Android 5.0 Lollipop. All this is coupled with a battery with a very high capacity of 3.210 mAh, against which smartphones of the Xiaomi Mi 4i level can do nothing, neither those that have the same price, nor those that have similar technical characteristics.
Price
It is common to see that the company launches smartphones with affordable prices, and in this case it was not going to be less. The Xiaomi Mi 4i goes on to become, according to the company itself, the flagship of Xiaomi, despite not being the one with the best technical specifications. But this happens because it is the one that meets the characteristics that really identify Xiaomi. Price is key in this case. They have presented it for 12.999 rupees in India, which leaves us a price in Europe of 190 euros. We'll see if later the distributors do not sell it more expensive, but even so it is still a remarkably cheap price, and there is not a single smartphone that can be compared to this in quality / price ratio.
Is it coming to Europe?
Worst of all, the international event had a special focus on India and Asian countries, but we still have no news of the company's arrival in Europe. In any case, it is sure that multiple distributors have it available, both nationally (somewhat more expensive), and internationally, so be careful.
