Youtube Gaming is the new platform that comes to compete with Twitch. After Google bid to buy the latter company, Amazon finally bought it, and Google has had to launch its own live streaming platform. The YouTube Gaming app has already been officially launched.
A new rival for Twitch
It became very clear that Google would buy Twitch. And in fact, it seemed logical. Google would have bought YouTube before, so buying Twich did not seem strange at all. However, Amazon eventually bought it. This has led Google to launch its own video game streaming platform, and YouTube Gaming was officially launched today. In principle, it is the same as Twitch, although of course, it has a non-existent user base.
Application now available for Android
With Youtube Gaming also comes the official application for Android. At first it was believed that the platform would be launched today only in the United States and the United Kingdom, and that later it would reach the rest of the world. However, at least as far as the application is concerned, it is already available on Google Play, and can be installed on smartphones and tablets in Spain. At the moment, the application is only used to watch broadcasts of users' video games. However, from what has already been found in the app's code, it is believed that in the future it could be used to broadcast games of mobile video games. At the moment, mobile video games are still much worse than video games for video consoles, but soon that could begin to change, especially if video games in the Cloud begin to be a reality and Internet connections begin to be more stable. Who knows if for the next FIFA 17 we are already talking about similar versions for smartphones, tablets and game consoles.
