Twitter tests a translation feature for its Android app

Twitter Logo

It seems like Twitter it would already be testing in its application for the Android operating system a functionality that is already part of its web service, and that is the possibility of translating words online to communicate in languages that are not known. To do this, you will have the support of Bing.

Apparently, some of the users chosen to carry out the tests are the ones who would have leaked the news and, one of them (Arvid Bux, a well-known blogger), has gone a step further and published a image in which you can see the new service that is being tested and that would be most useful in operation. Here is the screenshot that has been published with the new functionality, where you can see that the process is online and, therefore, instantaneous:

Translation test service on Twitter

What is most curious is that the aforementioned blogger has published the image on his Google+ account, which is still paradoxical, it must be said. The fact is that it can be clearly seen that the translation service provides it Bing, so its effectiveness will not be bad at all since the solvency of this service is quite large. The truth is that absolutely nothing has been confirmed from Twitter, so it must be assumed that this service is still in testing and, therefore, nothing is wanted to be indicated since the image is very clarifying.

First of all, a great utility

The truth is that the arrival of a Twitter translation service for Android would be great news, since sometimes you have contacts with whom it is difficult to talk and, this possibility, would solve said problem largely. Furthermore, this would be a clear example of Microsoft's efforts to position itself in the field of online translation.

An example of the latter is the announcement that was made a few days ago of the launch of a online translation service for Skype, which will mean a leap in quality and functionality in the videoconferences that are made with this application (the versions for mobile devices would be from the game). The fact is that Twitter seems to have the same intention, which will allow a greater expansion of the use of its product.
