Use the Google search bar to open apps more quickly

Google Apps Search

It is incredibly easy to run an app on Android in a much faster way than we usually use, at least in my case. And it is that using the Google search engine that all Android phones integrate, we can run the app just by typing its name. Faster than looking for the app icon.

Looking for an app

When we have few applications, it is easy to find and run them. When we have many apps it is more difficult to locate them. We may have the desktop very organized, and some apps are very easy to locate, or we have them in clearly classified folders. In any case, we will have to look for the folder, and then the app inside the folder. Either way, the process to run an app is usually to first look for it on the desktop. If it is not here, we search the different sections of the desktop. From here we go to the application drawer. If we don't see it, we sort it alphabetically and search by letter. And we should already find the app.

But it is much simpler to click on the Google search engine, which in many cases we will find on the desktop, on the main page, in the upper section of the screen, and write the name of the app. If we have not changed the default configuration, the smartphone will also search among our apps, so when you write the name of an application, such as "WhatsApp", it will appear, all you have to do is click on the icon to run it. As simple as that. If we do not have this Google search bar in the upper section of our desktop, it may be for several reasons. One of them is that we have the Google Now Launcher, and then we only have to scroll to the left from the main menu to get to the Google search engine. Another option is that we have removed the widget from the screen, but we can add it without any problem, since it is something that comes integrated into almost any Android. A much simpler way to find apps, and very useful mainly for those apps that we do not have on the main desktop.
