UTorrent now includes WiFi-only download feature

Application uTorrent It is one of the specific ones for downloads that Android users are using the most. An example of this is that, to date, it has almost 5 million installations. The reasons are varied, but the truth is that it offers several very interesting features, such as scheduling downloads in time ranges or being able to control clients installed on laptops and desktops.

One of the options most demanded by those who use this application is to be able to establish that only downloads are made through the use of WiFi connectivity. This would favor the control of consumption, especially that of data, so that those who use uTorrent are sure that the program is “like” its entire rate. Well, BitTorrent, which is the developer, has just indicated that this is already possible.

With full control of connectivity

Once the new functionality included in uTorrent is activated, it is completely certain that the software will not use 3G connectivity at any time. But what happens when a user walks away and disconnects from a WiFi network? Simple: the program itself for all downloads and wait in the background until you are again connected to a network of this type, either free or for which the information is available. But, at no time access via 3G.

By the way, it is important to note that this program has also added another interesting feature: contrary to what happens with other similar developments, uTorrent already has no restriction on the size of the files that are downloaded and, neither, speed limit when doing your job. Therefore, the inclusion of the option "WiFi only" is much more important if possible.

UTorrent version 1.13, which is still in the testing phase (beta), can be downloaded for free on Google Play at this link. Its requirements are very basic: Android 2.1 or higher and have 2,5 MB of free space on the terminal.
