Thanks to a work done by Android Police, which has been able to access the code of this application, it has been discovered that the protection that Virus Shield supposedly provided to those who installed it does not really exist and, therefore, is an outright scam . And we speak of a creation that downloaded more than 10.000 times even though it was priced at $ 3,99. What's more, the score by the users themselves in the store was 4,7 out of five ... so it is highly regarded.
Therefore, if you are one of those who have this application installed on your Android terminal in search of greater protection for your device, you should know that it is actually it is totally innocuous and does not do what it promises. In this way, it is best to look for another that does protect.
From what it has been possible to know, even the creator of the Virus Shield application had already been expelled from another website due to a scam problem, so it rains in the wet and we are talking about a developer who has a not very graceful track record. One detail that should be known is that Google has reacted quickly and, at this time, the application has already been deleted from the store. Of course, the damage for many users has already been done.
