WhatsApp will allow you to edit the photos and add filters

WhatsApp follows changes. The messaging application is becoming a hybrid of what it was at the beginning with a social network of messages, photos and ephemeral content. Just a few days ago we were talking about how close there was the filters for WhatsApp photos. Now, it seems that there are more details about them and that they will not be long in coming.

Photo editor

WhatsApp plans to look even more like other apps like Instagram or Snapchat. The messaging app already allows you to share photos with stickers and text in an ephemeral way with their States, which already have more users than the original idea, Snapchat. Now WhatsApp plans to launch a photo editor for the images that we send through the application and that will allow us to add filters, just like we do from Instagram or Twitter.

From WABetaInfo they have already shared more details about these filters for photos on WhatsApp. It is expected that they can be applied to the photographs we send. but also in videos and GIFs. The main WhatsApp leaker has given more information about what they will be like and what they can offer.

Five different filters are expected: Pop, Cool, B&W, Film and Warm. It has not been explained what each of them will do, although most of them are intuited. For example, not surprisingly, Cool and Warm will bring cool and warm tones to images, respectively. For its part, the black and white filter will reduce the saturation of the photographs and the Pop filter would be expected to increase the saturation and contrast. For now, we will have to wait for them to become official and find out what their specific effects are or wait for WABetaInfo to bring out more information about them.

Other news in WhatsApp

It will not be the only novelty that is coming. From WABetaInfo they ensure that WhatsApp is close to testing payments through the application, at least in a testing period. These tests are not expected to be carried out in Spain but in the United Kingdom, Poland, India and the United States. Once the tests are over, this function would arrive internationally and we could, from Spain, make payments to our friends through WhatsApp.

It is also close to get the possibility to delete a message that you have already sent, making it disappear from the conversation. This option can already be seen in the beta of the application and it will be a matter of time before it is extended to all users.
