The iPhone X was presented as the mobile of the future. However, none of the mobiles that have been presented recently are really revolutionary. In fact, they are quite similar to the Samsung Galaxy S8, which was introduced several months ago. However, the new Xiaomi Mi 7 and the OnePlus 6 will be officially presented at the beginning of 2018 as phones similar to the iPhone X, although with a cheaper price.
No innovations, but cheaper
The iPhone X has shown that it was possible to present a new smartphone, claim that it was the mobile of the future, and that it was a smartphone without innovation of any kind. Or at least, without innovation with respect to the mobiles that had already been presented so far. The Samsung Galaxy S8, for example, is a mobile almost as innovative as the iPhone X, and it is not the mobile of the future, in fact it was presented a few months ago.
However, new mobiles will be presented at the beginning of 2018 that will aim to compete with the iPhone X. Of course, not because they are more innovative than the iPhone X, since it has already been shown that innovation is not being key in 2017, but rather by the fact of having the innovations of the iPhone X, and even so with a cheaper price. Since the new mobiles have not managed to be really innovative, the novelty will be that the smartphones that would be presented at the beginning of 2018 would be cheaper.
This would be the case of the Xiaomi Mi 7 and the OnePlus 6. The two smartphones would have a high-quality screen without bezels, and their price would not exceed 500 euros. In fact, it is very likely that the Xiaomi Mi 7 is quite inexpensive. What if finally the official Xiaomi store in Madrid is presented, it is possible that the new smartphone is one of the smartphones that are officially marketed in Europe and Spain in the new official store.
