Flappy Bird returns. The creator of the game that became the most famous in the world, assured that the video game would return to the application stores, and it seems that this will finally happen in August. However, it is likely that the video game will never be so successful again. Here are the four reasons that lead us to think that Flappy Bird it will not be as successful.
1.- The video game is not new
There is only one reason for a video game as simple as Flappy Bird to become one of the most downloaded in the world, and that is because it is a novelty. There is no doubt that the simple idea of the video game, and the difficulty of it, make it a very addictive video game. However, it was the novelty that made him so famous. There was even a great deal of chance that Flappy Bird became so famous all over the world.
Now everyone knows Flappy Bird. It will no longer be a novelty, but simply the video game that everyone played, and that has now returned to the application stores. A video game that we will download, we will play the day we download it, and many of us will stop playing it again for many months.
2.- It won't be so addictive
Dong Nguyen, the creator of the video game, removed Flappy Bird from app stores because he did not want users to waste time playing a video game that he had created. Advertising makes money, yes, but if you add in-app purchases to that, then it could be a real deal.
4.- Many clones
To that we should add that the video game has already had many clones. It was even possible modify the original Flappy Bird to customize it as we wish. Apple and Google had to block the publication of applications that tried to copy Flappy Bird, because the influx of these apps was incredibly large. However, it is not only a question of the exact clones of the video game, but also of other similar video games that have been released in the same style.
