The use of Android applications on Chromebooks is imminent

Android apps activated on Chrome OS

There are currently barriers between the two operating systems that Google has on the market: Android for mobile devices and Chrome OS for laptops (called Chromebooks), especially when it comes to using supported applications. Well, everything indicates that the expected compatibility of the applications of the first development with the second is closer than ever.

While working on a version of Android in which windows can be used in a similar way to Windows (an example of what I say is Remix), it seems that Google wants to give el step in the synergy between his best-known work and Chrome OS, and in this way make it easier for the applications used by those who have a phone with the Mountain View development to be the starting point for laptops.

And this seems to be closer than originally thought, since the version 51 of the operating system for Google computers -only available in the developers channel- you can already see a confirmation section in which it is possible to "Enable Android apps to run on the Chromebook." White and bottled, right? Of course, this possibility has quickly disappeared, but evidence has been left in the source code of Chrome OS that confirms this.

Android app compatibility on Chrome OS

Access to Play Store

This is something that will be starting as well, so using a very rudimentary version of the Google store in the Chromebook it will be a thing of the past (and its poor support with OATH2). Thus, since the use is complete, users who have a laptop with an operating system from the Mountain View company will have a full access to all the developments in the store, so the possibilities of these are exponentially increased -and without including complex steps of use or installation-.

Acer Chromebook 15

The point is that it seems that the ARC module that right now is the one that allows a certain fusion between Android and Chrome OS will be history in a short time, and everything indicates that in the event Google I/O It will be when the arrival of the applications of the first of the system will be announced operational indicated to the one used in notebooks. This, perhaps, will increase interest in them and improve their market share. What is your opinion?

Well, just today I was thinking, that if I can use my DTT tuner on the android tablet, it sends noses that I can not use it on my Toshiba ChromeBook 2. This merger opens up many possibilities.
