Ice Cream Sandwich is now available for the free Galaxy S2 sold in Spain

Finally! More than one will exclaim. Samsung has just announced that the Galaxy S2 sold on the free market now have the Ice Cream Sandwich update available. Vodafone already had her since last week and now it is the turn of the free. The rest of the operators should not take long to start the deployment.

Samsung Mobile Spain has posted a brief message on its Facebook page: The 4.0 update for Galaxy S II from the open market is now available via Kies and FOTA. That means that those who have a free Galaxy S2 will be able to connect their terminal to the computer and run the Samsung Kies program and let it update the system. The other option is to wait for the update to reach the mobile.

As we already have here, the operator Vodafone already had the update to Android 4.0.x ready since last week, although then it could only be installed from the Kies. Today they will be receiving the update directly on the mobile (FOTA).

However, of the rest of the operators it is not known much more. On the Facebook page they explain that, for the rest of the operator versions, there is still no definitive implementation date, and that they will communicate it through their social profiles, Twitter and Facebook, when they are available.

On the other hand, for the rest of the official languages of Spain, such as Galician, Catalan and Basque, Samsung Mobile says that they will be ready soon but that they have been delayed because they require additional programming for their correct integration.

Those who have a free Galaxy S2 can now run to download the Kies and tell us how a demanding Ice Cream Sandwich performs in what was one of the best mobiles in history when it was released. We want to know if time has not made a dent.

Yesterday I installed the new version of android 4.0.3 in my SII, everything is correct. When I turn it on, my apps continue with my configuration data etc. I have not perceived a variation in performance, nor is it perceived slower or more agile. I have fiddled with the new options a bit, there are interesting things, more information about what happens with the operating system or the apps. In general you don't see a big change, it remains to be seen if the new version affects the battery life.

I updated my SII yesterday and I have not had any problems either, everything is correct. If I have noticed that the version is 4.0.3 and not the 4.0.4 that they announced.

Either it is a version error (4.0.4) and it has to be 4.0.3, or there is still a new update to arrive

Bluetooth does not work for me, that is, it does not synchronize with the car's hands-free, does anyone have a solution? Go disaster.
also the battery consumption has doubled.
    Think it over before updating
