If we take into account that telephone operators are some of the most important companies in each country, it is logical that their influence on the possible economic level of the country is very relevant, so much so that the government itself decides to carry out blockades that prevent said companies lose money, and in turn, that the country itself loses it. WhatsApp knows that these regional blocks are going to arrive, and has shown this in its translation center, where we can already find prepared phrases such as "Unfortunately,% s is a country in which WhatsApp calls are not available." , something that, in principle, does not seem to happen in Spain. Moreover, it is most likely that it will not occur in Spain or in Europe, since the European Commission has already transmitted their feelings about possible regional blockades, and, at least, there will not be them unless the entire continent decides to block, something that seems most unlikely.
In any case, it can affect us in some way if we thought to call frequently to certain countries in which blockades are going to be made. Let us hope that these blockades will eventually affect a few countries, and that they will not be maintained for a long time either. After all, WhatsApp VoIP calls are here to stay, and we have to accept it as part of the future, and of our technological present.
