The big mistake of not releasing Apple Music for Android until October

Apple Music

Apple's products or services are the best on the market in themselves. There will be differences, advantages and disadvantages, but in the end, in experience, design and quality, they are the best. However, it is striking to see how they make such a big mistake with Apple Music, which will not arrive on Android until the month of October.

Apple, the best

And yes, it is very possible that many of you do not think that way, or that you have not understood me well. Just because Apple's products are the best doesn't mean they're the ones everyone should buy. There are features of their mobiles that we love, such as having to have a Full HD screen on an 800-euro mobile, for example. But if we talk about absolute elements, those from Cupertino are the ones that work best on their devices and their services. However, then we come across errors as big as Apple Music. Today it is available for iPhone, iPad, Mac and Windows. But it is not available for Android, even though it will be. Why? Because it will arrive in October.

Apple Music

They lose users

It is not very clear why the Cupertino people have decided not to launch Apple Music for Android in time. We take for granted that it is not a software problem, because we cannot think that of a company that succeeds in the world of computing. It seems to be a matter of strategy, of not allowing Android users to have the same services as iOS users. But the truth is that that doesn't make any sense either. At the end of the day, if you are going to offer it, the logical thing is to offer it well. And if you are not going to offer it the same, then do not offer it, because in the end you lose users. Why is Apple launching for Android? Because today the percentage of users with Android is much higher than the percentage of users with iOS, and if they want to beat Spotify they have no choice but to compete by launching their service also for Android. However, what user would want to have Apple Music if it turns out that it comes with limitations and also cannot enjoy the three free months that iOS users do? In other words, why give up a service that has always treated Android users well, for a service from a company whose goal was to make Android disappear?

As it is, it is obvious that Apple does not look for all Android users. What remains to be determined is whether Apple really has a chance ignoring so many users. Apple's big problem in this case would be that its Apple Music was not quite a rival to Spotify. In that situation, those of Cupertino would have it very complicated, because recovering the difference would be very difficult. We will see if the move of leaving Android for October is not expensive for Apple.

It's simple, right now Apple wants to offer its streaming service as an added value to its products, and it will surely get an increase in sales based on more impatient users, who will abandon Android in favor of ios. Then, in October, you will try your luck with android, but with a worse quality service that will also make more than one consider enjoying it fully by switching to ios.

Your answer is very correct, that is exactly the reason, added to the fact that this concept of exclusivity is what creates the fanaticism that Apple enjoys. The rest, if it is good, will use it anyway they take it out when they take it out. They can afford to delay it and it is also successful.

Android users in Mexico think more about free download services and that does not happen at Apple, I think Apple is right to focus first on users who dare to pay.

What if I cancel my free trial and reactivate it once the android version is released so that I can now use it for 3 months for free? Will it be possible?
