Chrome for Android is updated and no longer shows tabs as applications

The Navigator Chrome for Android, the most used globally in phones with Google's operating system, receives a new update and reaches the version 51. This includes some of the options that were present in the trial version, but there is one that stands out from the rest and has to do with the use of tabs.

The option that we discussed in the new version of Chrome for Android limits the use of tabs, since now the option that allowed them to be used as if each of them were an application (and that is how you could see when managing the open), it has removed. This addition came with Android Lollipop in 2014 and, the truth is that it was not the most used by users who generally opted to keep the icon at the top that allows them to be displayed to select them within the development itself.

The case is that the option in the Settings That allowed to choose between one or the other also has a better life in Chrome for Android, of course. From the Mountain View company they have made this decision to try to simplify the use of the browser and, by extension, to make the use of open application management more comfortable (especially now that the large amount of RAM in the terminals makes it possible for the existing number is very high).

Other small news

The one mentioned before is the most outstanding new option that comes to Chrome for Android, which also includes a small API review that it uses to speed up navigation (this will be especially useful for developers, since processes such as identification are now faster). There are also several small bug fixes and improvements to some runs in the application.

The final version of Chrome 31 now available for Android.

The update has already started rolling out from Play Store, so if you have not received the corresponding notice, you will do so shortly. And, therefore, from the Mountain View company they formalize the end of the use of tabs as if they were an independent application in Chrome for Android. Does it seem like a good decision? Was this the way you used the browser?

I used the tabs as applications and the truth is that I do not like the previous system. I liked better being able to switch between apps and the tab I wanted in one step. The good news, you can switch to a tab by sliding the steering bar to the side. Which is fine if you use the phone with one hand. Not having to go down to the square button.

    Greetings to all!
