The processor market is very interesting. An example of this are the models Tegra K1 by Nvidia, with 64-bit architecture, and those already announced Qualcomm. Now another of the great "players" reacts with the announcement of the model MediaTek MT6595, with no less than eight cores.
The truth is that the number of "cores" is not the highlight of this new component, since it is not the first to hit the market with that amount and from the manufacturer itself. But it does have the most interesting details, such as that the frequency it uses when operating is up to 2,5 GHz and, in addition, that it will be compatible with 4G networks. In this way, you want to plant a battle in the market for powerful terminals ... something that you will achieve, at least on paper.
We say the latter because the results that have been published that are achieved with the best of the three variants that will be put into play of this new processor (MediaTek MT6595, at 2,2 GHz; MediaTek MT6595M, with 2 GHz; and MediaTek MT6595 Turbo, with a maximum of 2,5 GHz) are really impressive, since in AnTuTu it reaches a score of 43.149, which makes it one of the most powerful that can be achieved on the market.
Other options that will be part of this new model is that it will be based on technology big.LITTLE, so all eight cores will not work at the same time (it has four Cortex-A7s and as many Cortex-A17s). In addition, it has the capacity to be used in devices with QHD screens, thus reaffirming the commitment to the high-end range. By the way, the new MediaTek MT6595 will also be able to play video encoded in H.265 with quality up to 4K.
The truth is that the MediaTek MT6595 was already announced in its day, but tomorrow is when it becomes official and, therefore, in a short time you will be able to see terminals using this component, which aims to be a really interesting option in the high-end product since it does not lack capacity and, in addition, if the way of working of this manufacturer is maintained, the price of the component will not be very high. In other words, the pressure that Qualcomm has in the market is increasing, and we are no longer referring only to the medium or low range of the product.
