Galaxy Note: Ice Cream Sandwich update leaked

Samsung planned to update its mobile-tablet hybrid this quarter. Although it was already a matter of days or weeks, someone has been ahead of them, publishing a file with Ice Cream Sandwich for the Galaxy Note on the net. Those who have one can now go to the bottom of the page to get links to what's new in Android.

The people of RootzWiki have put in their forum two links to the same .exe file that corresponds to the version of Ice Cream Sandwich for the Samsung Galaxy Note. Before posting the links, they spent some time doing some testing and QA checking to make sure everything was going smoothly. Not in vain, although it may be the final version, it is not official yet And we don't think Samsung is very happy with this leak, either.

According to RootzWiki, the tests have been very successful. Face unlock is fully functional and the LTE connection (the leak is for the Galaxy Note that are sold in the US) has not given problems. In addition, phone calls also work perfectly.

Other details that they have verified have been the quality of the sound, the sending of messages and the chat, including by video, in Gtalk. The GPS, the download and playback of Flash material or the task manager do not have problems either.

Where yes have detected a problem is in the launcher. TouchWiz crashes the first time, but on restarting it, it no longer repeats.

For those who are used to the Samsung apps of the Galaxy Note there are some changes. The S Planner is now called Calendar. In addition, the new widget includes new task settings.

The leaked file does not erase the external SD card, but it will format the internal one when installed. To install it, you have to restart the mobile in Download mode, connect it to the computer via USB, run the .exe file and that's it.
