When they tell us to create a game it is like creating a mobile application, it sounds like something complex, programming and many hours of dedication. Maybe not so bad, especially if we want to create our own game. And it is that with Fancade we will be able to create a game to our liking, with all that that implies.
It is not an app to program, it really is a game with countless minigames. In addition to editing and creating our own levels, we are also going to be able to do many more things, which we are going to discuss below in this analysis.
If you don't want to create, play
One of those other things that we can in this this title is play. Maybe not everyone has the initiative to design games, thinking about the difficulty of the levels or how they will be developed. For that type of user there is also a place in Fancade since with its mode Quest mode, we will be able to test the more than 25 worlds it has, each with a different game theme.
At the beginning we start with a robot, which we must mark the path it must follow to reach the prize and overcome the level. Next, we continue with a puzzle in which we must slide the body of a cat until the entire board is filled, as if it were a snake. Later, we will find more arcade games such as racing or platform games.
Fancade does not seem to have an end, since it has a voting system in which you can rate the developments of other users in the section Arcade, and those who are voted the most by the community, will be candidates to be added in the individual mode of the game, further expanding its catalog.
Create your own game
Despite its playability, the great attraction of this title is undoubtedly the section to create our project. In this way, we can consider different editing options, depending on the degree of experience or knowledge we have on the subject. If we are experts, we have the possibility of starting from scratch, the entire screen is empty to be able to create everything. From the obstacles in the levels, through the number of screens that we are going to establish to overcome the game, to the name of the project created.
If, on the other hand, we do not know where to start, the game gives us various templates with different themes to get a basic idea and edit from that starting point. Not only that, but it offers several pre-established levels, which will save us a lot of time and several headaches when developing.
Ultimately, if our level as a developer is zero, Martin Magni, the creator of this project and Mekorama, has provided a YouTube channel with several tutorials on how to get started in this world, as well as a chat on Discord to discuss or talk to other users about developing a game. It is true that, when we have mastered all the elements of editing, you can stay in short supply if we want to create something more advanced, but considering the simplicity of the game, it is surprising what it offers to edit. Keep in mind that Fancade has a version premium for a small fee, to remove ads and get some more editing element, although the game is still in early access.
