Gmail Material Theme: the mobile application will change its design
The current design of Gmail for Android it has remained more or less intact since its inception. In recent years we have not seen drastic changes, since the additions have been, mainly, at the level of functions. Thus, we have seen new tools such as Smart Reply or the possibility of postponing emails to receive them again later. All of this has been dedicated to offering a more productive tool on our mobile phones.
However, the facelift will come sooner rather than later. Gmail for Android will be renewed in the Material Theme style, and we already have a first look at what this update will offer. As in other applications of the Great G, Gmail will bet on the white color for its application. The floating button will gain prominence and will acquire the same appearance as on the desktop. That will not be the final look of the redesign, as it is still being worked on. Even so, the general concept is clear and the final result will be quite close if we trust the redesign of other apps in Google. Even so, there are three major aspects marked in photography. The first we have mentioned: new cool. The second aspect is related, since it will be to add density options. This means that each person will have more control over the amount of emails they can see on the screen and how, much like the web version, from which they will inherit many things. And just this connects with the third aspect: direct access to attached files. With a single click and without having to enter the mail you will be able to access the documents that are sent to you.
Work in the mail service Google it is still active, and for the desktop version we are working on an improved search tool. In the long run, this means that it will also reach the version Android. Today, gmail website lead the way, especially focused on functions to be more productive. Gmail for Android it will just follow that line.
