Google Allo is going to be Google's new bet for messaging between users and groups. The idea is that it is a competitor of WhatsApp, taking over from Hangouts. And the great idea that Google have had this time is ... to create an app that is exactly the same as WhatsApp in terms of its functions, although with a somewhat more modernized design.

When Google launched Hangouts, replacing Google Talk, the goal was that Hangouts could be a new option other than WhatsApp. An app with which we can chat with our friends, make calls, video calls, and have the app on both mobile phones and tablets, an iPhone, an iPad or even a computer. Well, that was the initial idea. It offered more than WhatsApp. But its success has been nil compared to that of the world's most widely used messaging app. Thus, Google has decided to withdraw, or almost withdraw Hangouts, leaving it for some professional use that we will see what it will be, and launch its new messaging platform, Google Allo. Basically, the goal is the same, to rival WhatsApp. But this time the strategy is different. If launching a service other than WhatsApp didn't work, perhaps launching a service exactly the same as WhatsApp did.
The screenshots that arrive, which we assume are from a trial version of Google Allo, confirm that the appearance of the application will be the same. By changing the colors, and with some slight differences in design and so on, the app will have the same style, the same interface, and will be just as familiar to users who are used to using WhatsApp. The idea? Well, going from WhatsApp to Google Allo does not mean having to learn how to use a new app, but simply changing the “color” of the application, something that, by the way, could not be bad, because it gives the appearance of being somewhat more modern. It remains to be seen how it will be, although for me, there will be a fundamental lack, and it will be the emojis, which should be the same as WhatsApp if you really want to copy the application completely. Google has the option to launch the app with these emojis, you can use them. We will see if they finally dedicate themselves to using the emojis that everyone knows as emojis and not that version that Google has and that I, on a personal level, do not quite like.
It seems very good to me that they create another communication application like what sap, but the truth is that I do not see any sense that it is the same. I think the best or idea is to create something much better better, something more updated, for example that allows us to make video calls and well many more improvements.
The problem with making video calls is that it is no longer a simple application, which is why it really works so well and with little data network coverage, where I have the chalet, no face messenger, no Skype, or viber ... They work and the problem is that they need a large amount of data, which is not the case with whatsap that sends messages even with the old gsm network
