In the first half of the year we have met high-end phones from practically all companies but there are still some to come, such as the new Google phones. La new generation of Google Pixel is expected before the end of the year but from Mountain View they are thinking about new generations and new technologies like that their phones arrive with a touch back.

A patent shows a touchpad on the back of Google phones which would allow some functions. It is not the first to bet on including something new on the back of the device. YotaPhone already has mobiles with a screen on the back and it seems that the new Meizu phone would also incorporate a small screen on the back of the phone to perform some functions.

Google has registered a patent with said touchpad on the back of the phone, it would be a touch zone on the back to use the phone easily for certain things such as, for example, modifying the volume when we listen to music, browsing the photo gallery or zooming or scrolling within a web page. It could also be used with specific gestures to open applications or activate functions such as WiFi, for example.

Google Pixel

Google registered this patent a year ago but it has not been until now that the USPTO (United States Patent Office) has published it. It is just an idea that could reach new generations of the brand's mobile but could also not reach anywhere, like many of the patents registered by companies.

A very useful idea to take advantage of the back of the phoneor that we may see how a new fad for years to come but, for now, all efforts and attention are focused on the new Google Pixel, which is expected to be a high-end phone with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor and that could have 3 GB of RAM although at the moment we only have rumors and Google has not made any information about the mobile official.
