Possible technical characteristics of the two Google Pixel 2

Google Pixel Blue

The Google Pixel 2 will launch this year as a high-end smartphone. It will be one of the best smartphones to be launched in 2017. And it will come in two versions, a Google Pixel 2 and a Google Pixel 2 XL. These would be the technical characteristics of the two mobiles.

Two Google Pixels were launched last year, one with a large-format screen, and the other with a compact screen, but with the same technical characteristics. This year, the two new mobiles will be different. The Google Pixel 2 will be more basic than the Google Pixel 2 XL. These are its technical characteristics.

It will have a 4,97-inch screen with a Full HD resolution of 1.920 x 1.080 pixels. The processor of the smartphone will be the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835. But it will have 4 GB of RAM. The OnePlus 5 arrives with 8 GB of RAM. We already talked about whether it is really useful to have 8 GB of RAM, and we affirm that it is not. But in this case, Google considers that it is not even useful to have 6 GB of RAM. In addition, the mobile will also have 64 GB of internal memory, and stereo speakers. It will not have the headphone jack. Its design would be very similar to that of the Google Pixel, in metal and glass.

Google Pixel 2 XL

The Google Pixel 2 XL would have a 5,99-inch screen with a Quad HD resolution of 2.560 x 1.440 pixels. It will also feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor and 4GB of RAM, as well as 128GB of internal memory. In this case, the mobile will have a headphone jack. Although it seems that the Google Pixel 2 XL will have a new design. It will be constructed of metal and glass, but it looks like it will feature a bezel-less display, resembling the Samsung Galaxy S8.

There is still no information on the price that these two phones would have. This year the Google Pixel 2 XL is of a higher level than the Google Pixel 2, so its price will probably be much higher, like about 200 euros more.
