News for two of the applications that Google has on the market, we mean Play Movies and Play Games (those dedicated to movies and games respectively). In both cases the utility of both developments is increased, but the new options are quite different in each of them.
In the first case, at the google app store, Google Play Movies, what has arrived is the possibility of making a reservation of the films that are to arrive in their digital premiere, which appear in a specific listing. If this is done, what is achieved is to receive an email indicating the day on which this will occur and, later, another email is received to indicate that the purchase is already available to be reproduced.
It is a good possibility, that right now it is only available in the US (but that it will gradually reach other markets), but the truth is that some kind of incentive could be expected to be added, such as a discount for making the reservation. This does not happen, and we hope that Google will change the way they proceed so that this new purchase option has a positive impact on their store for Android. Of course, it is true that you gain comfort when it comes to getting a movie, but little else.
Google Play Games is also updated
This application that among other things creates a small "universe" for players in the Google operating system, is being one of the most active in terms of updates lately. This may be because Android TV it would be close to being a reality, and this type of content is present (as it well shows that controls are already being tested).
In this case, unlike in Play Movies, what is updated is the application itself and the associated service, so the Play Games SDK itself has new features. This, for example, allows Real-time multiplayer options are now a reality (supporting two or more players). The management of the games is carried out by "rooms", which eliminates some complicated processes that existed before and, in addition, the management of the connections is improved.
Additionally, the addition of what has been called the Google Play Games Developer Console allows a much better management of the statistics in the games and receive notifications more quickly.
