Again we have to talk about HTC One and its rate of updates, since it seems that fortunately more and more European countries are beginning to receive the latest update of the operating system, Android 4.4.2 KitKat. After starting its release in some US carriers, we already saw the new firmware walking around some French terminals last week. Now, new European countries are receiving the update that brings performance improvements to the phone among other novelties.
Thus, the free HTC One from countries like Russia, Slovakia or Romania have received their share of KitKat in the last hours. The update, which corresponds to number 4.19.401.8 it has a weight of approximately 308 MB and adds new functions to the firm's terminals.
On the one hand we have the new function NFC Tap & Pay, as well as improvements to the system Bluetooth or the possibility of being able to print documents with the terminal on a large number of printers thanks to the service cloud printing which is incorporating Android 4.4.2 to the devices. As in the rest of the manufacturers, we also see how the icons in the upper notification bar now take on a more uniform appearance, with white tones in all the updated terminals.
With regard to the graphic part, exclusive news will also arrive at the HTC One, like the Sense 5.5 interface. While Taiwanese people are shaping their new Sense 6 interface, this update aims to improve navigation in some smartphone menus. And of course there is no shortage of bug fixes and performance improvements, as we remember Android 4.4.2 KitKat has emphasized improved system optimization for greater fluidity.
The only negative part is found in the disappearance of Flash support for Chrome with this new update. Fortunately, we already told you last week in a simple tutorial, how to turn Flash back on in web browsing.
The Spanish HTC One could receive it in the next few hours
Following the rollout of the update in more European countries, Android 4.4.2 KitKat is expected to begin rolling out to the rest of HTC One in the next few hours or days. In fact, the most optimistic suggest that before the end of January, all free HTC One on the continent will have the update ready to install. That means that the Spanish HTC One should be attentive to its terminal since before Friday they could have the new update.
As is usual, the terminals linked to different operators will take a little longer, although the arrival of KitKat to these devices should not last beyond February.
