HTC One X receives Android 4.1.1 globally

At last it seems that Android version 4.1.1 has begun to reach the terminals HTC One X, which is one of the best models that the Taiwanese company has on the market. For months there has been talk about this launch that definitely lands these phones with Nvidia SoC.

As indicated in HTC source, the arrival is massive and has been confirmed in many locations, such as India, the Philippines, Brazil, Argentina or the United Kingdom and, in the case of countries that have not yet received the corresponding notifications, as it seems to be in Spain, it is a matter of hours or a day or two at the most the time it will take to arrive.

The upgrade, in most places, consists of two phases. The first is a small 1,25 MB download that prepares HTC One X to later receive one of 364,56 MB which is the one that contains the Android 4.1.1 version for this phone. Therefore, and how the process is carried out via OTA (Over The Air), it is best to do it connected to a WiFi network.

Even performance improvements

Some users who have already received and installed the update indicate that the improvements are really evident in the operation of the terminal, which is much more fluid and efficient. And, an example of this, is that the results in the benchmarks Quadrant and AnTuTu are higher with 6.068 and 14.101 respectively, according to a Malaysian user.

In the case of not receiving the corresponding update within a few days, we recommend that you proceed to carry out a manual check using the section of Software update found in the Settings menu. By the way, for now the arrival of this version of Jelly Bean to HTC One X has been confirmed in the models with CID_038 and CID_044 (if you don't know the version of your terminal, look in Google Play one with the CID string, most of the existing ones work).

    Hello Ramiro,
The result that the application gives is strange ... there are many that are functional in Google Play ... try another and tell us if the same thing happens to you ...

I have an updated HTC One X on December 04th with Android 4.1.1. Although new functions appeared, it is now impossible for me to explore the SD Card from my computer because the options for "Download Only" "Disk Drive" "HTC Sync Manager", etc. disappeared. Do you remember that screen that appeared when you connected your cell phone through the USB cable to the computer? Well, with the new update this function disappeared and now I have no idea what to do to explore my cell phone from the computer. I tried everything, I was even tempted to reset the cell phone to factory settings.

I sent a note to HTC Support asking for help with this. I hope they answer me. But just for this inconvenience, I think the latest Android update is a complete disaster
