The Mobile World Congress 2013 has welcomed the launch of new high-level devices, and others with curious characteristics. However, it seems that there are also those that have gone unnoticed. It is the case of Huawei Ascend Y300, which has not had a great impact, but which deserves to be mentioned and taken into account. Especially for the simple fact that while the new flagships go above 600 euros, this smartphone will cost no more than 149 euros in Europe.
El Huawei Ascend Y300 It is, in fact, a low-mid range, and its characteristics prove it. Its screen is four inches, and has a WVGA resolution, 800 by 480 pixels. Its processor is quite good, being a dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon capable of reaching a clock frequency of 1 GHz, accompanied by an Adreno 203 graphics card. Although it does not stand out especially, it has just enough for the system to function well, although we cannot expect high-quality games or resource-intensive applications to run smoothly on the device as well. In fact, the RAM is 512 MB, enough for the common use of any smartphone, but we will notice it somewhat insufficient when we have several applications running.
El Huawei Ascend Y300 It comes with a weight of 130 grams, with space for a battery that, on the other hand, goes to 1.730 mAh, not bad for a device of these characteristics and that will ensure a good autonomy. As for its operating system, we can expect it to arrive with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, so it will be quite up to date, in addition to having Huawei's custom interface, Emotion UI. However, we should not expect the device to be updated again in the future. Its RAM memory is limited, and the level of the smartphone is not very high, so it will probably never be updated to later versions.
Regarding its launch, it seems that the Huawei Ascend Y300 It will arrive in German stores in April, and it will do so for a price of 149 euros. There is no data for Spain or the rest of Europe, although the data should not be different, so we can expect it for the same dates.
Good option for those who just want a good phone to call, read mail, watch web videos or play simple games. And quite cheap, comparing it to the first samsung galaxy for hard.
