Today's smartphones are very fast, but even so, the truth is that there are still limitations when it comes to browsing Internet. Why? Well, because they depend on wireless systems such as WiFi, 3G, or the famous 4G. And it is that, although we do not believe it, many times they are responsible for the loss of speed. Let's see how to fix this problem.
What we are going to achieve is to improve the 3G connection, the 4G connection and the WiFi connection, in such a way that it is optimized and we lose the least amount of data possible, thus achieving a faster speed. First of all, what we are going to do is download the Speed Test application, which will allow us to measure the connection speed of our smartphone. In this way, we can know what is the speed we currently have of connection to Internet, and what is the version that we will have after optimizing the connection. Of course, let's make sure to carry out the measurement under the same conditions. That is, if it is the WiFi, with the same distance to the router, or if it is the 3G, being on the street, or in the same room of the enclosure. Once the Speed Test application is downloaded, which is free, you just have to run it to find out what the connection speed we have at the moment. This application makes use of the Ookla system, the most famous in the world, and one of the most used by the most important companies.
Once we have already measured the speed, we are going to install the Internet Speed Master application. What this application does is make known Linux modifications (remember that our smartphones use Linux) to improve the Internet connection. Of course, it is clearly indicated that it is much more effective with smartphones that have Root permissions. However, they also claim that the Internet connection is improved on those smartphones that do not have Root, so it never hurts to test the application. Below we describe the step by step to improve the Internet connection of our smartphone.
1.- We install the Speed Test application, which will allow us to measure the speed of the Internet connection we currently have. The application is free, and the link to it is at the end of the post.
2.- We execute the application, and perform the speed test. We try to remember it and then compare it with the test we carry out once the improvements have been applied.
3.- Once that is ready, we must install the Internet Speed Master application, which is free and can be found on Google Play. The link to the application is at the end of the post.
4.- We execute Internet Speed Master. We will be informed of how it works if we have Root or not, so that we know that having Superuser permissions, the effectiveness will be greater.
5.- Now we have to click on the button Improve internet connection that appears on the screen. It is the only button, so there is no question in this step. Once clicked, the pertinent modifications will be made and we will be informed that the connection speed has improved.
6.- We carry out the speed test again with the application that we downloaded in the first steps of this tutorial.
7.- As indicated, if we detect that the connection speed has dropped again, we just have to run the application again, and press the button.
Of course, let's bear in mind that the improvement is more effective with Root, so if you want to improve the speed of the connection in a more significant way, you will have to obtain Superuser permissions.
