Java is the past of Android, the future is Dart

Android Cheats Home

Talking about Android is talking about Java. They are almost synonymous, and in fact much of the success of the operating system of Google it is due to that programming language. However, Java is beginning to become the past of Android. The future is already beginning to be Dart, the new programming language on which all Android applications could be based.

Java, that language that changed everything

That language represented by the cup of coffee that we had seen for so long in mobiles capable of playing games of a fairly low quality, or in computer applications of not too much quality, has been the main value of Android for a long time. Google chose Java as its programming language because of its popularity and the ability to run it relatively easily in a virtual machine. And, let's not forget that the key to Android has been that it could be installed on any smartphone using the same applications for all those devices. That great compatibility has made Android so widely used, and therefore so great, the only rival to iOS. However, Java could be on its way to disappearing from Android.

Dart would be the new language

And it is that, Java has also presented limitations. At the time it was what it was, and it seemed the only way to survive against iOS. Nowadays they begin to be important limitations, and Google already sets the arrival of a new programming language on its list of objectives. This would be Dart, and it would come with different perks. In general, it would offer better performance, greater fluidity, and the possibility of operating at 120 frames per second, something that is undoubtedly very remarkable. But we should also talk about the possibility of applications running in the Cloud, something that Dart allows us with relative ease. In the end, Google's goal is to end that lag present in Android since it was launched and whose difference with iOS can only be saved by multiplying the processor cores by four: 8 cores in Android smartphones vs 2 cores in iPhone; as well as notably larger RAM memories.

Obviously, Dart will take time to become a language as widely used as Java, although an example application has already been launched, so we could see over time a greater importance for this new language, which will replace Java in a gradual, in the style of Swift with Objective-C in the case of Apple.

damn this is super super great, java is so old and obsolete enough of that garbage, but I don't understand why they use dart instead of google go which is much more efficient
