Meizu Metal vs Moto G 2015 vs Xiaomi Redmi Note 2, comparison

Meizu Metal

With the arrival of the Meizu Metal, the mid-range market already has some smartphones that become the best purchases of the moment. However, there are three smartphones in particular that compete to be the king of the mid-range, the Meizu Metal, the Motorola Moto G 2015 and the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2, three smartphones that we analyze in this comparison.

Meizu Metal, for those looking for a good design

The Meizu Metal is the latest that has been introduced. And if there is something to highlight between this smartphone and the others, it is precisely the great novelty of the mobile with respect to the smartphone it relies on, the Meizu M2 Note, and that is that it has a metal unibody casing. It is one of the few mid-range mobiles with this price that have a design of this level, and that is something to take into account. In addition, it also has technical characteristics of a fairly considerable level. In fact, it is almost the same as the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2, with several exceptions, among which is the design of the smartphone, and the fingerprint reader. If we compare it with the Moto G 2015, the differences are more notable. The MediaTek Helio X10 is of a higher range than the Qualcomm Snapdragon 410, and also has a larger screen, and with more resolution, 5,5 inches and Full HD.

Motorola Moto G 2015, the classic choice

However, there will be many users who still prefer to buy the Motorola Moto G 2015. It is the classic choice. For almost any user who is an expert in the world of smartphones, the Motorola Moto G 2015 will be a better buy for several reasons. They may have already had a Motorola Moto G of a previous generation, and that its good performance makes them trust the brand, something that is very successful because, in reality, it is like that. In addition, it can be officially purchased in Spain, and with this you also obtain a guarantee in case of any manufacturing defect. Finally, even if it was the user himself who damaged it, there is an official technical service to turn to in Europe, something that does not happen with the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2, nor right now with the Meizu Metal. The latter will be officially launched in Europe, but not yet, and in the meantime, it is better to get it through international distributors, as its price will also be cheaper than when it arrives in Spain.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 2, for smart users

It is not that buying a mobile by design is something typical of an unintelligent user. But the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 is the typical smartphone that an expert user buys. Its design is not as good as that of the Meizu Metal, as it is made of plastic. However, its technical characteristics are the same, so at the end of the day it is a matter of choosing for the design, and for something else that is key, the price. While the Meizu Metal, with the same technical characteristics, has a price of about 180 euros once acquired in Spain, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 is somewhat cheaper, as it was launched longer ago, and is priced right now of about 150 or about 160 euros. In addition, Xiaomi is of all the Chinese manufacturers, the one that seems of the highest level, so it is likely to be a more reliable option for users than the Meizu Metal.

Conclusions

The Motorola Moto G 2015 would be for me the last option when buying a mid-range mobile. Its technical characteristics are of a lower level, and it is a worse mobile, although it is not a bad mobile. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 and the Meizu Metal are two very similar mobiles, almost the same in terms of technical characteristics. It is very clear that they are two rival mobiles in the market, and therefore, they are two equally valid options.

The meizu stands out for the aluminum (although later we take it with a case) and the reader, but xiaomi is for me to seem a better brand. I think that in the end I would go for the xiaomi since the reader still does not see it as essential and they are very reliable and well-finished mobile phones, it is a brand that I know very well and they do not give the slightest problem. A more in-depth comparison would be good, camera, battery, ect ..
