Microsoft would like HTC to make Android and Windows smartphones

What happens when we combine an operating system that has had little success with the hardware of a company that is going through its worst moment? Obviously, the result might not be good. Now, if we take into account that the company, HTC, despite everything, it manufactures high-quality smartphones, and that in addition to that operating system, it could also carry Android, then things change.

And that is what representatives of the Redmond company and the Taiwanese could currently be negotiating. We already know that HTC will make new smartphones that have the American operating system, Windows Phone. However, what it seemed is that it would simply be as until now, that some models would arrive with Microsoft software. However, this may not be the case. There is talk of two possibilities that would have a lot of potential. One of them is the most remarkable, and it is a high-end smartphone with Dual Boot, which would allow the user to choose the preferred operating system when starting the smartphone. That is, we would carry Android and Windows Phone on the same terminal. If one day we want to use Android, we can do it, if another day we prefer to carry Windows Phone, too. This option, at the marketing level, would be the best, because users could buy a Windows Phone, without the risk that later they will not like it, since they can also carry Android.

The second option would allow the user to choose between Android and Windows Phone, but only when purchasing the terminal. This would already be a step forward, in any case, since we would see the same smartphones with Windows Phone on the market as with Android. At the hardware level they would be the same, but we could choose our preferred operating system. Thus, the problem of the absence of high-end smartphones in the market with Windows Phone would be solved, since currently there were only Nokia. In any case, we will still have to wait, because Microsoft is not a company very willing to let itself be stepped on by other giants, and that is exactly what could happen if we saw the two operating systems installed on the same smartphone. That, or the opposite.
