The Google I / O 2015 was not only the main event of the search engine company this year, but it also brought together the greats of the world of smartphones with Android operating system. Among them, there was Carl Pei, the CEO and co-founder of OnePlus, and thanks to that today we can learn more details about the expected new flagship of the company, the OnePlus 2.

OnePlus 2 and not OnePlus Two

The first piece of information that can be confirmed is the name that the second generation of the company will have. It will be called OnePlus 2, and not OnePlus Two. For Anglo-Saxons the difference when pronouncing it is not too wide. But using a number makes internationalization easier. For one thing, writing 2 is much more "responsive" than writing Two. On the other hand, in Spain it will be called / Guan-Plus-Dos /, instead of / Guan-Plus-Tschu /, which in turn will have positive consequences for the market, since it will also make it look more like the to name the high-end smartphones of its rivals: iPhone 6 and Samsung Galaxy S6.

Regarding its technical characteristics, not many data have been confirmed, but only one, and that is that the processor will be the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 with eight cores and the latest generation. Let's hope that by the time of launch the temperature problems have been solved, and that this smartphone does not have to carry the stigma of being a phone that does not work at its maximum performance due to processor problems.

Launch and invitations

Yes, there has been talk of its launch, although to simply give us a three-month window of time, in the third quarter of the year, from the month of July to the month of September. At some point between those months the new smartphone will be presented, which should have an official price of between 349 and 399 euros, cheaper than its higher-end rivals on the market. Like last time, you will have to get an invitation to buy the smartphone, but Carl Pei has confirmed that this year it will be much easier to get an invitation to buy it. While last year they expected to sell between 50.000 and 100.000 units, and achieved 1.000.000 units sold, this year they have calculated more precisely the number of smartphones they will be able to sell, so there will be fewer problems. It could be one of the best purchases of the year for its quality / price ratio, and tomorrow we could have more details about this smartphone, and it could even be presented.

How daring is ignorance: "On the other hand, in Spain it will be called / Guan-Plus-Dos /, instead of / Guan-Plus-Tschu /". With how easy it is to search the internet for the pronunciation of two: / ˈtuː /. What the heck is that / tschu /?

/ tschu / is more or less if you read it in Spanish, it's how the word two is pronounced in English. For example hellow would be pronounced something like / jelou /
