New radar in Pokémon GO
It started in testing in the San Francisco area, but has become available in more and more regions while still testing. AND now comes to Europe, where we already have this new feature available. In Spain we can now use this Pokémon GO radar that comes to replace one that was practically useless and that only informed us of the Pokémon that were nearby, but that did not give us any clue of how to find them.
El Pokemon GO's new radar is based on PokéStops. That is, it will tell us in the vicinity of which of these is the Pokémon that appears indicated to us, so that we can approximately locate the area in which it is located. From there, you will have to search around the PokéStop to locate it, which will also require some search effort.
Safer radar
Niantic's goal with the new radar has been avoid what there are problems with the game. In the past, we have been able to meet users who even lost their lives because they were playing Pokémon GO carelessly, and ended up in dangerous areas, when they were only carried away by the game's radar. Niantic's idea with this new radar is for that to be avoided. To the use PokéStops as a reference, and being these relatively safe sites and frequented sites, in principle it should not be dangerous for users, who will not have to be constantly looking at their smartphone, but will only have to arrive at the determined stop.
