In the Google I / O, Google already stated that Xiaomi would enter the Android Q beta program, and now the Chinese brand has confirmed which are the terminals that will be able to access this beta and a roadmap to know how much we can test these betas. We tell you what they are.
From the beginning we knew that Xiaomi Mi 9 and Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 5G would enter this beta program, although it is not a mystery either, since they are the flagship of the brand, so if the firm has access to the Android beta Q it was clear that these phones would come in. The novelty is all the new phones that enter the list. Here is a list with the phone and when you can access the Android Q beta.
Xiaomi phones that can access the Android Q beta
At the moment we have eleven terminals that can access the Android Q beta, they are the following:
- Mi 9: will update the last four months of 2019 (Q4.2019)
- Mi 9 SE: will update the last four months of 2019 (Q4.2019)
- My Mix 2S: will update the last quarter of 2019 (Q4.2019)
- Mi Mix 3: will update the last four months of 2019 (Q4.2019)
- Mi 8: will update the last quarter of 2019 (Q4.2019)
- Mi 8 Explorer Edition: will update the last four months of 2019 (Q4.2019)
- We 8 Pro: will update the last four months of 2019 (Q4.2019)
- Redmi K20: will update the last quarter of 2019 (Q4.2019)
- Redmi K20 Pro: will update the last quarter of 2019 (Q4.2019)
- Redmi Notes 7: will update the first quarter of 2020 (Q1.2020)
- Redmi Note 7 Pro: will update the first quarter of 2020 (Q1.2020)
These are the phones that we will see available for the Android Q beta. The truth is that we are happy to see so many different phones, and above all we are surprised by the inclusion of phones like the Redmi Note 7 and the Redmi Note 7 Pro, reduced price phones that will be able to get the beta of Android Q, making it much more accessible to a large number of users.
Of course, Xiaomi phones will not receive the pure version of the beta, but the one that is already modified by Xiaomi with MIUI, so it will take a while to see it, although the truth is that it will be quite fast compared to what has been seen other years or with other brands.
We hope that although they cannot access the beta, many more phones will receive the stable version of Android Q, but that, only time will tell.
