Samsung just started rolling out a firmware update for the Samsung Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10 + and Galaxy S10 E in which the latest security patch is included, but also some features that the Galaxy Note 10 range premiered exclusively. New functions of this terminal are already coming to the S10 and, above all, affect the application of camera.
Deployment has started in Germany and Switzerland; that is, it seems that it will be available sooner for the Galaxy S10 with Exynos, which are the ones that are marketed here in Spain. The versions with Snapdragon, however, have already received the same security patch without the camera updates -and others that we will detail below-, so for them it will take a little longer for this update to arrive.
New update for the Samsung Galaxy S10 with exclusive functions of the Galaxy Note 10
This update for Samsung Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10 E and Galaxy S10 + marks the arrival of support for DeX with the specific cable. That is, once these devices are updated, their users will be able to use the mobile device as a desktop computer by simply connecting it to the monitor, or to a compatible computer, and with all kinds of peripherals both by physical connection with cable and by Bluetooth connection. In addition, as we were advancing, there is a large number of improvements related to the camera:
Blur effects have been implemented in all Samsung Galaxy S10s with Exynos processor Live Focus in video recordings, and some other enhancements to the camera app that, as we advanced, were released by the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and the most recent version of One UI. And on the other hand, the security patch for the Android operating system for the month of September is included. But, for the moment, nothing of Android 10.
We know that Android 10 will come to these models, but the priority at the software level is the Samsung Galaxy Note 10, and we will still have to wait some time to see it on the Samsung Galaxy S10. In fact, it is more than likely that the new generation of Galaxy S will be released before the update to these models. Meanwhile, at least the South Korean firm has been in a hurry to offer users of these devices some interesting software features. which, just a few weeks ago, launched the Galaxy Note range.
