The Xiaomi Mi 9 can already receive the beta of Android Q openly

Xiaomi Mi 9 Android Q Beta

In mid-July the Xiaomi Mi 9 received the MIUI beta based on Android Q. But it was a closed beta for which you had to apply, you also had to flash your phone to install it. But now, a month after its launch, the beta has been opened and all users of the Mi 9 (or the Redmi K20) who want will be able to obtain this beta.

The beta is based on Android Q, but running on top of MIUI 10, so you still will not be able to see what MIUI 11 will be like, we will have to wait to see it.

At the moment only the versions of the ROMs that are from China can access this beta. So unless you have this Asian ROM, you won't be able to apply to the beta, at least for now.

This beta will be received by both the Mi 9 and the Redmi K20, which is an Asian version of the Mi 9 (they are very similar phones, but with different names). The Mi 9 is a more global version, which has reached many countries in the world, so it is logical to think that this beta will arrive globally at some point.

For Android Q to be officially launched for Xiaomi devices should still be a few months away. But it is clear that the Mi 9, being one of the devices that is receiving the beta, will be one of the first to receive Android Q. Not only for the beta, but for being one of the flagships of the brand, which makes this device more pampering.

Other phones that will receive the Android Q beta

Some time ago the brand already announced all Xiaomi phones that would receive the Android Q beta and the number of phones is not negligible, and in addition to different ranges.

The phones that we can expect to receive the beta are the Mi 9, the Mi 9 SE, the Mi Mix 2, the Mi Mix 3, the Mi 8, the Mi 8 Explorer Edition, the Mi 8 Pro, the Redmi K20 and the Redmi K20 Pro, the Redmi Note 7 the Redmi Note 7 Pro.

Although many are high-end phones (both this year and previous ones), it is curious and satisfying to see the Redmi Note 7, a phone that does not reach € 200.

What do you think? Will it arrive globally? Are you waiting for the beta? Or do you prefer to wait for the stable version?

Hey, they are super wrong, the MI 9 and the redmi k20 are different, they should be better informed before publishing.
MI 9 Chinese version = MI 9 global version
    Redmi K20 = MI 9T
    Redmi K20 pro = MI 9T pro.
