Apple Music for Android already has dark mode and Chromecast support

Apple Music continues to struggle to gain a foothold from Spotify. And yes, we also have the service available on Android mobile devices. In fact, our platform has just received an important update to introduce two key novelties: on the one hand, support for the dark mode de Android 10, and secondly the support for devices Google Chromecast. So now if we use Apple Music, we can send music to the TV easily.

The Cupertino company just launched a update for Apple Music on its rival platform, Android. And this update introduces new features such as, for example, support for Android Auto. In this way, if the infotainment system of our car has Android Auto, we can connect the mobile -by cable- and use the app with an interface adapted to the vehicle, much easier to use and with fewer distractions. But also, as we were advancing, now the app is compatible with Google Chromecast, just as the most recent beta versions had been showing.

Apple Music already has dark mode, Chromecast and Android Auto support

El dark mode Apple Music on Android mobile devices, like more and more applications, respects the settings that we have applied in the operating system Android 10. This means that if we have the light mode active then the app will continue to look the same, but if we have the dark mode for the whole system, then the interface will change automatically to show the alternative contrast. It's something that has reached iPhone and iPad users around the same time, with the recent update to iOS 13.

Regarding Google Chromecast, perhaps this is the novelty that users most expected. Now, when opening the streaming music application, we will find, in the top bar next to the search button, the usual Chromecast button. By pressing it, compatible devices will appear, such as Smart TV and others, and in the typical way we can start sending content to televisions, smart speakers, etc. This, on the other hand, implies being able to use Apple Music on Google Home devices.

Although the support for Chromecast has taken some time, Apple has given the surprise with the support for the dark mode. Now, however, the interest is focused on whether Apple TV + will also arrive on Android devices next November, or if it will be offered exclusively for devices from the Apple ecosystem and next-generation Samsung, LG and Sony smart televisions.
