Baton by Nextbit, CyanogenMod's bet to sync your Android devices

Surely on some occasion you have thought that it would be most interesting to be able to be doing something on your Android phone and, for needs or search for greater comfort, to be able to pass this information to your tablet to continue at the same point where you were, truth? Well this is exactly what it does Nextbit Baton which is already tested on the CyanogenMod ROMs.

But the best thing is to give an example so that it is very clear what this new development offers: imagine that you are playing a game of strategy and, at a given moment, think that it is better to go to the screen of the tablet that is more great as the phone is also running out of battery. Well, this is possible with two simple keystrokes and, in addition, without losing the progress you have made. And, thus, it is possible to do the same both in multimedia creation applications as in any other that is installed on both devices with the Android operating system.

The truth is that it is a most important, striking and useful advance, since it allows the user to interconnect the information they use, which is positive so that the information with which they are working is never lost. It must be said that the tests with the CyanogenMod ROM (in closed beta) and here is a video that clearly shows how Nextbit Baton works:

As it has been seen in the video, the use of this development is very simple, since by pressing continuously on the button in which the resident applications (multitasking) appear, you can see the terminals that are compatible with Nextbit Baton and, by clicking on the desired one, it begins with the execution at the same point where it was when it was decided to make the change. By the way, that the use of this functionality can only be done through WiFi connectivity, which makes sense since every time a "hot" change is made, half a mega of information is consumed.

Nextbit Baton with CyanogenMod

The truth is that this is something that more than one has wanted to be able to do both for games and when it comes to working efficiently with various Android devices. But, if Nextbit's Baton works properly with CyanogenMod ROMs - which not long ago Google tried to buy it-, we are talking about an option that can decide more than one user to use this development that is based on the Mountain View operating system. We will have to be vigilant.
