OnePlus 3 vs Samsung Galaxy S7 vs LG G5 vs Moto Z, is it really a new generation mobile?

OnePlus 3

The OnePlus 3 has already been officially presented on the market, and the truth is that it comes with a more than competitive price if we compare it with its rivals in the market. However, in a face-to-face comparison with each of the flagships on the market, one wonders if it really is a new generation mobile or if it is not. It has some shortcomings that we are going to talk about.

Tying in performance

Without a doubt, if we talk about the performance of the smartphone, it is very easy to conclude that it is. And it is that OnePlus has decided to bet everything on the OnePlus 3 as far as its performance is concerned. The smartphone comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, and with a RAM of no less than 6 GB. It even surpasses its rivals. However, it must be said that a 6 GB RAM today probably will not offer us a much different performance than a 4 GB RAM offers us. Even so, it is much better that it arrives with this unit of RAM memory than with a unit of less capacity. In any case, compared to the Samsung Galaxy S7, the LG G5 and the Moto Z, this smartphone will have a very similar performance, and that is something to praise on the smartphone.

The same screen as the OnePlus One

However, there are some shortcomings in the smartphone that I didn't particularly like. Remember that the smartphone has been increasing in price over time. The first was launched for 300 euros, and now we are already at 400 euros. It would make sense if it weren't for the fact that some components remain almost the same. This is the case of the screen. Compared to that of Samsung, LG or Moto Z mobiles, this OnePlus 3 is left with only a Full HD screen, which seems very little for a smartphone of this level. Something to criticize without any doubt in the OnePlus 3, because all users who buy it will feel that it is a relatively important lack. We are not talking about it having to have a 4K screen, but the truth is that there was already talk of the possibility that the smartphone had a Quad HD screen for the previous generation of the smartphone, so the fact that this new OnePlus 3 does not have this screen again, it makes us take a little disappointment with the smartphone.

A normal camera

But if we keep talking to the camera we find ourselves more or less the same. The smartphone camera is far from surprising. A 16 megapixel sensor. Very far from what we can find in the Moto Z, the Samsung Galaxy S7 or the LG G5. All three smartphones stand out for their high-quality cameras. The three smartphones have innovated in their cameras to be mobiles of a higher level and offer something different to what other mobiles of years ago already offered us, but the truth is that this is not what happens with the OnePlus 3, which arrives simply with a 16 megapixel camera. No more.

OnePlus 3

Cheaper

The only thing we can take into account is that the smartphone is cheaper. With a price of only 400 euros, it is a good option for those who want a high-level mobile, without having to spend everything that the large flagships on the market cost. However, with some of them already falling in price, such as the Samsung Galaxy S7, we will have to consider very well if we really want only a mobile with great performance and with the rest of the upper-mid-range features, or if we want to aspire to a mobile a little better spending a little more money.

Man the S7 costs € 300 more, almost almost double. The doubt you raise in the last lines in my opinion is totally unnecessary ...

The same screen as the OnePlus One? You do not believe it or you, it will be fullHD but according to the specialized media it is one of the best screens on the market. It is a complete high-end, a true flagship (this year yes) and without frills, putting the target on what really matters (performance), also incorporating one of the most innovative fast charges on the market, and at half the price that almost all its rivals, even the cheapest of its Chinese rivals (removing the zuk z2 pro that with zui we can forget). And the most important of all is that you do not have to juggle to buy it, already on sale, national guarantee and 15 days to return it if it does not convince you.
This time there is little to question OnePlus.

Now I find out that the quality of a camera is measured by the number of megapixels…. You have to study a little before on photography issues ... I'm not saying that it is the best in quality, but compare it by the number of megapixels ... My old 6 megapixel SLR .... I would like the galaxy S7 to take the photos that she… Hahaha. And as for the screen ... The same as the oneplus One? By God ... that it is full hd in terms of resolution does not indicate that it is the same, since that of the OPO3 is AMOLED, let's not forget it ... As for the performance, we will see it in a few months. At the moment the memory of this OPO3 is DDR4, almost nothing….

Totally agree. Besides being amoled… Why so much interest in qhd ??? It drains the battery and there is no difference. Hopefully they stay in the fhd. Good for the op3
