Play Store shows in a tab which “beta” applications you are testing

Little by little they are fulfilled with the arrival of the announcements that were produced in the event Google I/O that not long ago Google celebrated in San Francisco. One of them was related to the app store Play Store, and it has been known that the deployment of the add-on has already begun (although not for all users at the moment).

The novelty consists in offering users much more detailed information on the trial versions (beta) you are using. This is not exactly a minor detail, since there are many companies that already have a development of this type, such as WhatsApp. Thus, being able to manage its use in a particular and separate way is something that many (myself included) consider necessary. And, Google, has given the corresponding answer.

And what exactly has been done to achieve this? Well, a new tab -or column- in the list that appears when you access the My applications and games section, where to the far right is the specific list with the test jobs that are installed (which disappear from other places). This image shows what the novelty looks like:

Beta section in Play Store

A slow rollout

Unfortunately, not all users already have the news that we are commenting on. Actually, this option is being provided in a restricted way to check for proper operation. In addition, unlike on other occasions, you cannot get the novelty installed by a specific APK, since the activation is carried out remotely from the servers as long as it has, at least, the version 6.7.13 from Play Store.

A good detail that has been known is that in the new column that appears, apart from seeing the list of beta versions that are used, it is also possible manage the abandonment of these to go back to the final version. Therefore, it is not only an informative inclusion, but it also allows you to manage everything that concerns the test applications that are used in Android terminals -always from Play Store-. What do you think of this new option from the Google store?

I think these are the best of Google Play Store that although it lacks aspects to improve such as bugs in some applications, security, etc. For developers this change is important. Greetings
