The results that are published in the performance tests (benchmarks) are usually an excellent way to obtain information regarding the arrival of new terminals in which companies are working. An example of this is the model whose existence has just been known, the Samsung SM-G906S.
The fact is that this device, of which there was hardly any information, has been seen in the GFXBench test, one of the most used today. And, one of the big surprises is that this model appears with a screen resolution that had not been seen before in a Samsung terminal: 2.560 x 1.440. That is, what is known as 2K or QHD.
Many point out that this could be a variant of the current Galaxy S5, for in this way adapt to new releases of devices that offer panels with the aforementioned quality (such as the Oppo Find 7 or the one expected for the LG G3). Next, we leave a screenshot of the results in which you can see what we are talking about.
The fact is that the nomenclature of this model, Samsung SM-G906S, fits with the usual of the Korean company, but in our opinion more than a variant it could be a new terminal (Maybe the new Galaxy Note 4?), Since the truth is that it does not continue with the numbering -including specific letters- that in principle would correspond to a model derived from the Galaxy S5.
Be that as it may, the Samsung SM-G906S model appears in the GFXBench benchmark results, which is already a good touchstone to think that this device is real and that its reliability and performance is already in the phase of being verified by the manufacturer. And, from the looks of it, it will be a high end, since in specific tests such as Manhattan it exceeds the results of the Galaxy S5 (and its Exynos variant, yes).
