SwiftKey Keyboard receives a major update

SwiftKey

SwiftKey Keyboard, the best keyboard available for Android, which became free a few months ago, has received a major update, just as we already said was going to happen two weeks ago. The keyboard has fixed some of the problems that it included when the new free version was released. In addition, the general operation of the keyboard has been improved.

We already announced that SwiftKey was going to release a major keyboard update. And it was already difficult that it was a major update when in the last one the keyboard had become free, and to include new themes to modify the appearance of the keyboard. However, an update was necessary as the keyboard performance had become very poor. Not because it had changed, but because there were major errors that prevented using the keyboard as well as before, such as that the keyboard took time to appear, or that it took time to allow us to write another message after having sent the previous one. Now, those problems have been fixed, in addition to many others that you can see below.

What's New for SwiftKey Keyboard:

  • Higher typing performance
  • Better translations
  • Shorter keyboard loading time
  • Higher Flow performance
  • Fix for final row being hidden on some devices
  • Solution for customizing Yahoo!
  • Solution to the disappearance of the background in some issues
  • Solution to problems that caused unexpected shutdowns, or crashes
  • Five new themes to modify the keyboard appearance: Spotlight Purple, Edge Green, Pulse Yellow, Pulse Pink and Hazy Pink

In addition to the solution to the problems, there are also notable improvements such as share web content on keyboard or in keyboard performance when typing, in translations, and even in the time it takes for the keyboard to start up, or in the Flow writing system. That means the keyboard will now perform noticeably better. Without a doubt, it has already become the best keyboard available for Android, and very soon it will be the best keyboard available for iOS.
