The final divorce of Google and Apple, because of Maps

I don't know if it's just me, or others have seen it too. Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), y Microsoft they were clear rivals. Google y Microsoft they were clear rivals too. But Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), y Google they always shared a lot of things, or at least, a sympathetic relationship. Google was the Safari search engine for iOS. The Maps application used the technology of Google Maps, and the same can be said for the Youtube application. However, it seems the time has come to part ways. Google and Apple divorce. They have come to compete so directly that they can no longer share anything.

We do not know if the main culprit of this separation is the mapping service of both two systems, but it is clear that something has to do with it. Google Maps is one of the most widespread mapping systems in the world, the largest in fact. Apple itself used it in its Maps application, in its mobile operating system, iOS. However, this afternoon, during the WWDC 2012 event in which it presented the sixth version of its system, iOS 6, it has confirmed some rumors that have been circulating on the network for months, and that is that Apple has looked for another provider of maps.

Google, for its part, announced a long time ago that it would start charging for its Google Maps service, for the API, and that it would no longer be free. This worried many of those who used it before, but it was a great mine for others that became the perfect alternative, such as OpenStreetMap, a free map platform. Apple has chosen to use content from OpenStreetMap, by making use of TomTom prompts, and managing all of this thanks to the previous company it obtained, C3. With this, the new Maps application has up to 200 new functions over the previous one, provided by Google.

With this, Google not only does not get Apple to pay it for its services, but also loses 30% of the share of mobile users it had. To this, we must add that now he will have another rival hitting very hard who is going to become very famous. Is this important? Nokia already pays licenses to Apple for its mapping services, so, yes, it may have an impact on Google.

Now, why did Google want to charge Apple for Google Maps? The thing is not very clear. We do not know if they really had a specific interest in Apple, or if they wanted to charge all the platforms that wanted to use Google Maps. However, we know that Apple charges Google many millions because this is the default search engine in Safari for iOS. Those of Mountain View recover it in advertising and other income from iOS, and they recover it in spades, but this was the reason that has made those of Google think that they could charge a product like Google Maps to Apple.

In any case, it sure serves as a wake-up call for Google, which has left Maps unattended for a long time, without specific improvements and without notable progress, except for the slow and works Street View, which we do not use much, and that in the end served to play a few jokes and participate in a few lawsuits for violation of privacy.

I saw it with my own eyes! Mister editor, good example 'copypasted' from Wikipedia. You would have to be grateful if someone bother to read any of your posts (which, by the way ... sometimes seem like the whole Apple world. It seems very normal and acceptable to me ... especially because of the name of the page). You have resorted to ... "the best defense is attack," but my intention was not to attack you. In fact, I would be grateful if you criticized me for errors that I do not see. Another thing is to pay attention ... that is another question. However, thank you very much for your kind reply.

I don't know if quality or design is paid for, but what is clear is that technological noddeaevs are quite expensive. bfExamples? The Playstation 9 two years ago or what a laptop cost exactly the same time ago (it was around € 1 for a mid-range one, when now you have Packard Bell netbooks and deme1s for less than 3). I may get the ipod touch (I have a cell phone and don't need me3s, but I am missing a portable device with Wi-Fi), but at the current price, of course, about € 1. Two years ago I sold for € 1. I have the money, but, as some people have rightly commented, it is not worth it to me. It's not even worth what it costs now (its manufacturing cost is just under $ 1000), but at least it will cost less than what it is. Greetings.

Yeah I saw that too. It is indeed a very good idea. I don't think it was quite as funny as Google TiSP thgouh. Althgouh now that I think about it, I suppose there could be a certain level of integration between TiSP and Gmail Paper (Gmail Toilet Paper?)

In Spain, Teleff1nica will commercialize it.3 I have heard that in addition to the cost of XX euros per month of voice, you have to hire a data service for another XX euros per month. The price of the phone will vary depending on the contract (does anyone know this?) You also have to bear in mind that if you are forced to take a contract of 1 euros per month for 1 months, for example, and your monthly consumption is 1 euros, only you pay 3 euros of me9s for the mf30vil. 18 x 25 months = 5 euros 1 euros (iphone) = 3 euros (me5s or less) Therefore, I will have your iphone 18Gb for 90 euros, a good price! monthly are like the ones I am aiming for. Greetings!

Sim, so eeulovm naturally. But here is a mountain of coisa that persists somewhat for the fore1a da grammar e das regras. As well as four ways to be seen why it is an example, as well as many regras of regeance and accentuae7e1o. A grammarian from the Portuguese language needs to specify the size of the grammar team. THIS e3 um point out that grammatical reforms will be fateis.Eu cites juridical texts because of fato e7 where it is the most screaming thing, but I could cite academic texts and the same political speeches fanic speaker who encourages me in Brazilian politics, despite my role as president). Ou pior, formal letters from professionals such as police officers and directors of school. I confess that I have seen about the reforms and I am Pollyanna, more or that I criticize and that many that chiam against the reform seeem or Portuguese more as a fetish and a form of affirmation social than as a way of communicating.
