The final version of CyanogenMod 10.2 with Android 4.3 is now official

The arrival of the final version, and therefore stable, of CyanogenMod 10.2. The work of this development group is followed by many and, therefore, this is good news for users, since it should not be forgotten that their ROMs are free. By the way, the Android version on which it is based is 4.3.

The key to this arrival is that the firmware that can be downloaded can be used as an operating system on the day to day, since there are no serious failures in its use (the usual ones of any development will be found, but they do not put the terminal or the data stored in it at risk). In addition, the functionality of the different components of the devices where it is installed are fully functional.

The announcement of the availability of this Final ROM CyanogenMod 10.2 has been known through the profile of Google+ from this group of developers, and it is now possible to download through the usual channels where you can get the files for compatible mobile terminals (Download section). Therefore, nothing changes except that his work is already considered final, which is no small thing.

The CyanogenMod mobile is taking shape, there is already a hardware partner

They are already working on the future

And this happens to focus on the launch of new ROMs based on Android 4.4, a version that both developers and users are quite liking. In this way, Jelly Bean is shelved, although the support will continue to exist from CyanogenMod as usual, but now the efforts are to use the latest version of Google development. And, this is not surprising, since it must be forgotten that the range of terminals that can use it is much wider since the compatibility reaches the models that have only 512 MB.

In short, the stable and final version of CyanogenMod 10.2 is already out of the box and, from now on -and as expected-, it begins to focus on KitKat. It is true that some versions for specific terminals with this version of Android have already been known, but now all the efforts of this group of developers will be here and, this means that the advances will be both constant and useful for those who usually use these ROMs.

PROBLEM: I updated my Galaxy S i10.2b to CM 9000 stable version, but I had problems updating it from the cm-updater (I downloaded the version for my model from the phone but it did not update) so I started the phone in Recovery mode and did it manually . It didn't work the first time (error jumped) and the second time I tried it, it worked fine. Say reboot and here is the PROBLEM. It won't start up, it gets stuck on the "CyanogenMod" screen (the one that spins and spins) and I can't get it to work on the phone. I tried taking the battery out, clearing the cache and reinstalling the CM 10.2 again but nothing. It occurred to me to install an older version (the one I had before the problem> 10.1.3) with Odin to be able to TURN ON EVEN THOUGH my cell phone, but I'm working on it, I don't know where to get the things that Odin asks you from (PDA, etc. ). Thanks for reading, I need help

Install with Odin the one that comes with your operator and then install the cm 10.1.3

I already could! I did wipe everything (which was what I didn't want) and then I installed the cm 10.2 back and it worked. Thank you Pedro

Hello! I have installed it on my SGS3, the interface is excellent, although I found the details, for example, the sound it has is lower than before, when I had the other official android 4.1 rom the sound was higher, now a little lower. As for the battery consumption, I do not find any difference. What I am having problems is installing the WhatsApp, Tango and Viber applications, because they ask me to verify my cell phone number, I have a line with number portability, and I do not get the verification message, I tried it by adding another number that is not portability and without any inconvenience the verification message arrives. In conclusion, it looks pretty good, its notification panel is excellent, it is not slow and it does not hang, I do not regret having changed the OS of my samsung. I recommend it 😀

PS: The line verification thing, the possible drawback is because it is portability, and I don't believe in the possibility that it is because of the new operating system ...
