The Galaxy S2 receives by surprise its version CyanogenMod 11 Nightlies

If you have a Samsung Galaxy S2 You have good news, since a group of developers have done work with has resulted in the launch of a specific version of CyanogenMod 11 Nightlies for this terminal, which is a great advance for a good number of users.

The first thing to know is that the development is not official, as it is easy to understand, but that it is fully functional as you can see in this thread from the XDA Developers forum. Thanks to the user milaq (which at the time was part of the Phoenix group), the existence of the ROM that is available for download has been known and that has as one of its great characteristics that it is based on Android 4.4, nothing more and nothing less.

The specific model that is compatible is the i9100 And, according to the developer himself, there are no major differences with the official version of the official CyanogenMod 11 Nightlies, so its functionality is full and it is to be expected that, due to the lower Android kernel requirements that it uses, that the operation of the Samsung Galaxy S2 is really optimal and enhances any experience you can have with it today.

Samsung Galaxy S2

With constant updates

One of the most striking features that the version offers nightlies One of the CyanogenMod ROMs is that “nightly” improvements to the operating system are constantly being released, which ensures an evolution and addition of new functionalities and increased stability (and performance, of course). By the way, we must highlight the role played by two renowned XDS Developers developers and who have participated in giving this good news to users who have a Samsung Galaxy S2: codeworkx and Wayland_ACE. This, again, shows that it is sometimes possible to give a terminal more time of use if the corresponding updates are received.

Those who have tried this ROM have already indicated that its operation is very good and, therefore, that it can be used for day to day, so this indicates a high stability and more than acceptable performance. Of course, again we must bear in mind that it is a Nightlies version that arrives for the Samsung Galaxy S2, so if there are problems, they can be solved quickly but some "experiments" are also carried out to reach the definitive.

I tried it the other day, and the mobile started to go slow slow slow..I had cleared caches and formatted everything before inserting the new rom, but nothing.

      I whistled back to 4.3.1.

I will test it again when a stable version comes out
