The HTC One M9 could come cheaper with a MediaTek processor

HTC One M9 Home

El HTC One M9 It will be one of the great smartphones of this year, and due to the fan-designed renders that have already appeared, it has also become one of the most anticipated because of how beautiful it could be. However, now comes a surprising news, and that is that it could be launched with a MediaTek processor.

MediaTek, one notch below Qualcomm

There is no doubt that MediaTek is one of the best known manufacturers in the Android world. However, and although the company designs and manufactures good processors, it has always been believed that these were one notch below those of Qualcomm. This 2015 there will be no flagship on the market that does not have the latest Qualcomm processor, or a recognized brand entry-level smartphone that does not carry the company's new entry-level 410-bit Snapdragon 64. Even so, we are talking about a high-level processor, the MediaTek MT6795, presented last July 2014, and which is eight-core, and 64-bit. Actually, it is really similar to Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 with which all the great phones will have in the first half of this year 2015, including the Samsung Galaxy S6. It even reaches a clock frequency of 2,2 GHz. But even so, MediaTek processors are always considered somewhat worse than Qualcomm's, perhaps due to the fact that they are always used in smartphones, or by companies, of less level, and therefore, with worse optimization.

There will be two versions

Of course, that does not mean that HTC is going to give up competing with the Samsung Galaxy S6, the Sony Xperia Z4 or the LG G5. The company could launch two versions of the HTC One M9, one with the aforementioned MediaTek processor, and another with a Qualcomm processor, which could well be the Snapdragon 810. Accordingly, this version with a MediaTek processor would be destined for China. It would have the same technical specifications in all other respects, although it would be cheaper. We do not know if it will reach other countries, but it would be really surprising to see it also launched in Europe, with a reduced price compared to the main version with a Qualcomm processor.

If so, I'm not interested I want a high-end phone, not a mediocre one

Without knowing ... Mediatek would have the HTC Hima Ace that would only be released in China. A cheap version like the HTC One E8.

Something to take into account in the new htc terminal for 2015. If the screen has suffered an increase from 4,7 to 5 inches, although the resolution is still maintained in Full HD, that is, 1920 x 1080 pixels. Increasing the screen with the same resolution results in a lower pixel density per inch. Specifically 441 ppi, which is still very good.
Also, another difference is in the buttons. Now, instead of two capacitive keys on the sides of the HTC logo, we have three buttons that have been scrolled to the screen and have become virtual. Something that I don't quite understand is why they have kept the wide lower band with the logo if it no longer covers the buttons. They could have saved it and thus reduced the size of the terminal.
HTC GOOD WITH THE ANDROID UPDATE THEME AND CAMERA WHAT YOU HAVE TO DO TO LOYALTY CUSTOMERS. A GOOD BET. THE SAME FOR YOUR NEW TERMINAL LEARN FROM WHAT THE M8 MISSED. SCREEN 5 IS OK BUT THE RESOLUTION IS THE SAME AS THE ONE HAD BECAUSE ?? IT IS UNDERSTOOD THAT AS THE SCREEN GROWS ALSO THE RESOLUTION. IT HAS TO BE THINNER BUT IT DOES NOT DOUBLE LIKE THE IPHONE 6 IN BETTER AUDIO, IN CAMERA IT SHOULD BE BETTER. THINK IF YOU GO TWO LENSES WHY DO THE MOST ONLY HAVE ONE ??? BEST APPS. AND DO NOT STOP SELLING MIDDLE RANGE THAT ALSO GIVES GOOD INCOME. AND THE MOST IMPORTANT SELLING THEM TO DISTRIBUTE THEM TO ALL THE PARTS OF THE WORLD THAT YOU CAN, TO ALL THE ENDS OF THE PLANET
    HANDS TO WORK THEN.

Xiaomi has really interesting terminals in all ranges, including high. This Mi 4 is an excellent example, although as it seems obvious, its design is powerfully reminiscent of the iPhone 5, with a metal frame and a plastic back cover. In addition, the buttons are physical, which for me is a plus on any phone to maximize the use of the screen. In this case, it's 5 inches with 1920 × 1080 resolution, and it looks really good.
Its 13 megapixel camera is of great quality, capable of recording 4K video, with good snapshots taken both day and night, with great detail and good color quality. The 8 megapixel front camera will also catch the eye of many users. The 3.080 mAh battery gives you the end of the day without a problem. Since it has a Snapdragon 801 inside and 3GB of RAM, it has plenty of fluidity everywhere. The drawbacks of this terminal, which has them, is that it does not include Gorilla Glass, it does not have a microSD card, NFC, the battery is not removable and the audio quality could be better. These are generally not big problems for most users.
The operating system included in MIUI 6, an Android fork that once you tinker with it you quickly realize that it is better in many ways. In addition, the company updates it quite regularly, so even phones from a year ago receive the new versions of Android / MIUI.
