The Motorola Moto X with Android 5.1 will allow you to activate the flash by shaking the smartphone

Manufacturers try to make their smartphones distinguished within the world of smartphones, and they do so by adding functions that others do not have, such as the ability to activate certain functions by gestures. Now, with Android 5.1 in the Motorola Moto X it will be possible to activate the flash by shaking the smartphone twice.

Activating the flash

The smartphone flash is something that we almost always end up using sooner or later. Although many users may not use it to take pictures since the quality of a mobile camera in low light is not very good, it is very likely that almost all of us have used the mobile flash as a flashlight at some point. There are widgets to activate the flashlight quickly, some smartphones include this option in Quick Settings, and in the last case, we can go to the camera application, start a video and activate the flash. Well, to further facilitate the use of the LED flash, in the case of the Motorola Moto X, the company has included a new function that enables the flash to be activated by shaking the smartphone twice. With this, there are already four functions that can be executed with gestures, in addition to the possibility of silencing the smartphone by passing the hand over it, activating the Moto Display by bringing the hand closer, and activating the camera by rotating the smartphone twice.

Update to Android 5.1

Of course, if this new feature comes with Android 5.1, what remains to be known is how and when the current Motorola flagship, from 2014, can be updated to the new version. The update appears to be available now for Pure Edition versions in some regions, although it is not yet available for most versions. However, now a countdown is starting for its launch in the standard version, and it would not be surprising if we are talking about one of the smartphones that previously updated to Android 5.1, by combining the fact that it is a flagship with components Very common hardware, with an interface very similar to Google's and with little customization, and with the fact that it is a Motorola smartphone.

Still, I see little enthusiasm for Android 5 to hit the 2013 Moto X at once.

The camera is also activated by shaking the phone, how are you going to solve that?

Is that one is to shake and the other to rotate

Because to activate the flashlight it is shaken from the side and to activate the camera the Cell is shaken with a smoother movement
