The Nexus 5 scores a notable in the repair test

How easy is it to repair a certain smartphone? It may seem silly, but it is not. The fact that it is easy to repair a smartphone can make us go from keeping a terminal after a breakdown or that we have lost it forever. The Nexus 5 scored a remarkable 8 out of 10 in an iFixit repair test.

As they usually do with most of the latest generation tablets and smartphones that are launched on the market, iFixit has also decided to disassemble the Nexus 5 to analyze how easy it is to repair it. In this case, they have found that the repair of the smartphone is really simple, assigning it a grade of 8 points out of a total of 10 points.

Nexus 5

Disassembling the terminal is easy, since the use of adhesive is minimal, which allows all the pieces to be rejoined with real ease. The rear cover, which is the most important, is attached by means of a few plastic clips, as well as some adhesive on the bottom section, but nothing complex. This section is the one with the wireless charging coils and the NFC chip.

The biggest problem that the Nexus 5 has has to do with the screen, since the entire front block, including the glass, the digitizer, the screen, and the housing, go together, so damaging it would mean having to buy a new part. new with a large number of components, which would be much more expensive. Otherwise there is no problem, so it is best to buy a screen protector that prevents it from being scratched or, at least, seriously damaged.

In any case, it is good news for a smartphone whose price is much lower than other terminals on the market, and whose repair, if it were very expensive, would be a problem for buyers.

The repair may be very simple, but if they never have spare parts or if when they have them they charge them at the price of gold, then it does not matter because the user will lose out anyway.

Here's what happened to the Nexus 4, my friends:
