Tile Launcher: make your Android look like Windows Phone

It is true that there were already some launchers (part responsible for the Android user interface) that allowed you to change the appearance of a device with the Google operating system and that aesthetically resembled Windows Phone, Microsoft's development for mobility. Well then, Tile Launcher It is one more creation... but one that offers excellent quality in terms of handling and performance.

The appearance it offers is not exact to what can be found in terminals from, for example, Nokia (since the placement is somewhat different and the boxes, called Tiles, are semi-transparent), but it does allow us to know more or less the experience that is has when using Windows Phone. This is possible since both the use and the management of applications are very similar. Here we leave you some screens so that you know how the interface of this development looks like:

Tile Launcher-1

Tile Launcher-2

One of the details that must be taken into account is that the version of the operating system that must be in the terminal is Android 4.0 or higher, so this requirement can be a slight setback for more than one. Also, Tile Launcher is based on Jelly Bean 4.2 as far as functionalities are concerned (it's not a ROM that includes this version of Android), so it offers some interesting additions.

Management of the interface in the purest Windows Phone style

One of the best details of this creation is how well transferred the experience of using the Tiles is, even in the scroll that can be made of these on the screens. Also, as you can see below, the sizes of each one of them (and the colors) are fully configurable, so the configuration options are very high.

Tile Launcher-3

Tile Launcher-4

Some additional options that this launcher includes are being able to have multiple screens as a desktop, possibility of using any image as background and that the desktop is fully configurable. The truth is that it is a curious creation that, once tried, is attractive and, best of all, simple.

If you want to download Tile Launcher, which is still in its Beta version but is fully stable, you can do it at this link from Google Play in a way Delivery to Italy takes one or two business days. Its installation is like any other application and, once the terminal is restarted, its appearance changes completely. By the way, the space that should be kept on the device is only 3,8 MB. An interesting option if you want to know how Windows Phone works, more or less.

This interface is a matter of taste, but I tell you that if you want one, take the original and that's it.
