Turn your Nexus 5 into an HTC One M8 with Sense 6

The Google smartphone, manufactured by LG, in addition to receiving the latest releases of the Android mobile operating system before anyone else, also has a huge community of excellent developers who are responsible for offering, for the Nexus 5, all kinds of software . We have previously seen it with Firefox OS and Ubuntu Touch, but now it's up to the Nexus 5 to become an HTC One M8 with Sense 6.

In exactly the same way as it happens with other manufacturers of smartphones and tablets, HTC incorporates in its HTC One M8 a customization layer that works on Android and that, in addition to completely modifying the user interface, also modifies specific aspects of the functions of software. This layer of customization is called Sense 6, and it is expected that during the next month of May it will reach previous models of the manufacturer HTC. The one we offer in this post is a full port of Sense 6 from the HTC One M8 to the Nexus 5, but not all software functions are working properly yet. MultiROM is recommended.

The software that we offer below -port- is in the alpha phase of development. Therefore, some functions and features do not work properly or normally. If we are not advanced users, it is recommended not to continue. Under no circumstances is it recommended to use this software as the sole ROM on a Nexus 5 smartphone.

How to install HTC One M6 Sense 8 on Nexus 5

First we will download the ROM -all the files at the end-, and then the patch file. Once downloaded, we copy them to the internal memory of the Nexus 5, restart in the recovery menu and make a backup of everything, absolutely everything. Next, we will also do a complete wipe. Lastly, we will have to flash the .ZIP files corresponding to the ROM and the patch file and, once the installation is finished, we can restart our Nexus 5 and use it.
