Twitter receives a new update for Android

Twitter is one of the most downloaded applications on all mobile operating systems, and Android is no exception. Such is its penetration of users that the number of installations that have been produced by this program is more than 50 million. Therefore, it is not surprising that its developers are constantly including new options.

Today it has been known that there is an update available for download that, if the application is already installed, is communicated by means of a notice in the Notification bar or, failing that, if it is not used, it can be obtained for free at this link from the Google Play store.

Improvements of all kinds

The number of improvements is very high but, leaving aside the usual corrections of small bugs and changes so that the performance is better complimented (since if there is no change to the full version this is not particularly noteworthy), these are the most important advances. highlights that can be found in the new version 3.4 from Twitter:

  • Profiles are improved as they allow header photos
  • You can stream photos in profiles and events
  • Now it can be done pinch-to-zoom (pinch) on images
  • Improved tips are provided when searching for people, topics, and hashtags
  • Account protection is improved as it is now possible accept or deny follow-up requests

This last novelty is, perhaps, the most interesting since it allows to have a much greater control of the people to whom it is connected, something that many users demanded since they do not want third parties they do not know or with whom they do not want to have contact to be able to follow them.

As you can see, they are interesting improvements for this highly-used application. If you decide to download it, something that is highly recommended, you need to have 3,3 MB of free space on your device and Android version 2.1 or higher.

You still don't notify me when they mention me….

Why update something and it stops working?
