The unlocking of the bootloaders is something of the most common, especially if we want to root our terminal. Normally this process does not cause problems but apparently, in the case of the Sony Xperia Z3 Compact It can indirectly affect the quality of the camera when taking pictures in low light.

It is clear that the Sony Xperia Z3 Compact it is one of the best terminals that we can buy in general terms, both for price and technical characteristics. However, you might think better of it if your idea is unlock your bootloader  and later flash a custom ROM. According to an Android developer, Magnus Sandin, he realized this process can cause a degradation of camera performance when taking pictures in low light environments and therefore, lead to unsatisfactory results for the user.

Taking into account that Sony has been the company that has advanced the most in the photographic field thanks to the incredible capabilities it has added in its latest devices, such as the ISO 12800 sensitivity or "Low Light" modeTherefore, unlocking the bootloader means, indirectly, the "rejection" of the advantages that these advances achieve.

According to Magnus Sandin, the reasons behind this behavior of the Sony Xperia Z3 Compact lie in the lack of DRM security keys on devices with the bootloader unlocked, which causes the proprietary image processing to malfunction. These keys do not normally have any relation to the performance of the camera of mobile devices or to the digital processing of images, but it seems that in the case of this terminal there is some kind of relationship.

The truth is that Sony warns that unlocking the bootloader of your devices can cause unexpected problems such as inaccessibility to the user's secure data partition, lack of official updates, and even hardware malfunction. However, the company does not mention anything about the camera, something that has been discovered "by chance".

This problem with the camera seems to be irreversible, so we should think twice about rooting and unlocking our Sony Xperia Z3 Compact even though we want to install a custom Android firmware.

Shit, it'll come out later on how to root the terminal with the bootloader locked, it always takes some time for them to get root with the bootloader locked, so don't fuck around with your sucker publication, in xda they won't take long to put how to root with the bootloader locked like always as it happened in the z1 and z2, greetings
